No, it’s the, “Are you capable of differentiating between gas and brake and reacting to errors under stress” test that is too lax and sadly, it’s usually the elderly that fail it. An elderly guy confused the two and totalled my classic Mercedes two weeks after I got it. Since then, this has been a major trigger for me.

While I appreciate the point I gotta disagree with the whole “blame it on the road and conditions” b.s. The fact is, if you lose control of your vehicle you were driving too fast for the situation or conditions. Too fast for your bald ass tires, too fast for a pock marked road, too fast for icy conditions, too fast…
