It’s almost like she's going mad or something

I really liked this movie, I watched it laying on the couch and didn't nod off at all, that's the highest compliment I can give a movie I watch on the couch.  The helicopter scene was no mission impossible but it was tense!

For whatever it's worth to you, this film does go over how they plan to launder it.  How realistic it is, I don't know but seeing what's in the news recently it's probably not that far fetched.  

Just popping back in here to say, I’ve finally seen all 10 episodes and man, the scariest thing was the episode all about water damage.  As a home owner that was frightening!  Just kidding, this was a really well done version of this type of horror, I liked it!

Oooook man, wow, getting all angry.  I’d also name Conjuring 1, Sinister 1, Oujia: Origin of Evil as examples.  There’s more I’m sure but I don’t feel like doing a research project.

Again the subtext of horror movie is not really what I'm talking about that's obviously a part of horror movies.  A movie like the house of the devil is great and it's great because it's just a fantastically creepy movie without needing to be ACTUALLY about someone's mental illness or family trauma with some horror…

You should see it, it’s REALLY good, like shockingly really good. 

I don’t know either, just that one line from the review irked me for some reason, I’m almost sorry I made a comment about it!

I liked Oculus, Hush, and Oujia: Origin of Evil, I haven’t seen some of his other movies.  

It may just be my reading of it but reviews like this come off sounding like a movie about that’s just about ghosts or demons or whatever is automatically lesser than one that’s actually about mental illness or trauma.

Ok I hear ya, I’ll still probably give this a look, I’m always in the mood for good horror no matter what flavor it is. It’s just that I’ve read reviews of horror stuff that hits these same notes and it gives me pause.

Not really what I was trying to say but I figured that’s how this comment would be taken. I just want some GOOD scary basic horror movies not some schlocky piece of shit.  Anyway not worth arguing about I just get bummed that the only horror movies that generally get reviews don’t really want to embrace being horror. …

Just once I’d love for a positive horror review to say “But what’s most effectively upsetting about Hill House is how scary it is”. But no, it’s always gotta be actually about “ the devastating sadness that lingers long after the ghosts retreat back into the darkness”. Which makes me think like most horror movies that…

Come on! The way they set it up to look like a murder obviously means there was no murder.  It's probably just a sex tent for Carl and kassidi.

This is why it’s more fun at MJR.  Don’t gotta pay for nothing monthly, tickets before noon are 5 bucks so I can bring my raggedy ass in first thing, Tuesday night tickets are 5 bucks and free popcorn, cheapest concessions in the game I wish everyone had an MJR close to them.  

I mean you could, but I think there is enough there in the first season that it’s worth watching.  First season was only 10 episodes not 13 like the review notes.  

The Octavia plan with the worms is SO DUMB if you plan on living in the valley after.

Into the Badlands is a pretty awesome show. If you’ve only ever seen a commercial for it then I’m sure it looks ridiculous but it’s a fun action packed martial arts show.
