I can’t have feelings for what at this point is a force of nature. I can’t be mad at the Sun for burning me. I can’t be mad at Trump for reducing my IQ.

He is a point source singularity for all that is stupid in this nation, and I’m just trying to stay outside the event horizon.

I assume one celebrates confederate heritage by having one's neighbor from the north side of the street come over and kick one's ass and then burn one's house down, and then one tells maudlin tales to the younger generations, romanticizing the event as a fight for state's rights.

I just bought a Star Wars nightgown for 15 bucks at Walmart to make him laugh. Do you think that counts?

I haven’t looked yet.

God, I’m so BORED with this shit. Another straight white baby boomer dude self-glorying wankfest (nostalgia edition). How can a single demographic be so endlessly entertained with itself! And so institutionally narcissistic that it assumes that literally everyone agrees on how fascinating every detail of their

I work in marketing. We are an insufferable bunch.

Our local staff usually all eat lunch together, either in the cafeteria or at a large conference table down in the office. The Americans sometimes eat with the local staff, sometimes eat up in the cafeteria. It’s really nice,

Totally cultural. I’m in Germany, and the prevalent attitude here is “fuck off, don’t bother me. It’s my lunch break.” My supervisors not answer the phone. No one’s job is so important that someone else can’t do it, or that it can't wait 30 mins.

I thing that is probably a cultural thing. Here in Brazil, most of the jobs that aren’t in shifts, even in big companies, is contracted under the standard of 8 hours INCLUDING the lunch break (which varies between half-an-hour and one hour). Meaning that, in fact, you works 7h45m or 7h30m... In my case it’s even
