Both you and MANIMAL have good points. It's just with the recent trend of lackluster movies earning big bucks at the box office because of brand recognition, the worst BVS can do is probably not profit as much as the studio expects.

Batman and Superman are arguably the most well-known superheroes ever. Mediocre/bad reviews didn't stop Man of Steel from succeeding, and I really don't think that's gonna happen in a movie with both Batman AND Superman.
