Nice to see things haven't changed in Lubbock in the last decade.
Am I the only one here who has never heard of Dukes?
Haven’t tried it with mayo, but one trick that might help: put the whole cloves in vinegar then blend. That gives all the garlic flavor without the pungency raw garlic can get when chopped while exposed to air. Roasting the garlic or cooking it in the oil you plan to use could also work.
I thought the stuff I found in the states tasted a little different. Now it makes sense.
Good call. I read a lot of Asterix when I was staying with a host family in Germany.
Train station ramen! The station in Kyoto has a floor that’s nothing but ramen shops. It has 8-10 shops with different styles from all over the country.
This. Keep it simple. There’s no need to try to memorize a phrase that you’ll probably get wrong in the moment of you don't speak the language.
Duroc is a breed of pig (think “angus” beef, it’s not any different/better, but they have good marketing). Chashu is pork typically roasted or braised with soy, ginger, and garlic.
Slurp it. Slurp it while it's hot. If you wait for it to cool, you're holding up the line.
Great idea... unless you have stupid hoa rules to comply with.
All I remember of that was them making a guy think he made a half court shot blindfolded and faking a stadium proposal for the other guy.
It was a work, but it's still funny.
Maybe I’m just skeptical of the idea because my kid is a “runner”.
No matter what the government does or doesn’t do, your* premiums are going up. They went up every year before ACA, and they’ve gone up every year since.
Guess it depends on why the flight was cancelled, but If the planes can’t take off, can you even get all the way into Denver from way out there?
I don’t disagree with any of this, but it would have saved a lot of time to just write ‘no’ after the headline.
Not sure how that disagrees. Water at the point of contact with coffee should be in that 200 degrees F range. It’s often served at that temp which means it was likely brewed even higher (boiling or close to it) or left on a hot plate. The temperature at which you brew it is what matters. You can let it cool a few…
Avenatti: Nike was paying college players!
Could also mention here that people adding cold milk/cream/etc to coffee leads places to make coffee that’s too hot to compensate. Higher temperatures destroy the flavor of coffee.
