I remember seeing some reports of airlines grounded after eruptions in Iceland and Indonesia (maybe?). This is a lot more ash than the volcanoes in Hawaii usually produce, but it still hasn’t reached that level quite yet.

Nicely written. My only complaint is that you missed out on a perfect chance to use Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in a sentence.

It’s generally much quicker, and not dealing with shoes, toiletries, or electronics is maybe the best part. When you are also dealing with a baby/toddler, those benefits are increased exponentially. This just one instance where it wasn’t. Probably a total outlier, but I quickly went from being annoyed that it wasn’t

Hi, I lost my tinfoil hat. May I borrow yours?

Flew out of Newark a couple months ago and didn’t have precheck (someone else did the booking and left it off). I was annoyed til I saw the massive line. The regular line was actually faster. Pretty much every other airport I’ve flown out of, the precheck line has been significantly faster though.

Pre check. If you fly often or travel with small kids, pay the $$. It’s totally worth it.

The problem is, it’s mostly theater. More stuff gets through than gets caught. The inconvenience is all for show.

American being ranked that high is surprising. I have almost never been able to use miles when I wanted to and had to change dates with them.

It would make sense your desktop probably has more bass. I’ve only listened on earbuds, yanny.

Agreed. Shots will do the trick with less volume to slosh around and come back up!

It’s clearly a recording of Quagmire saying yanny. Anyone claiming otherwise is a contrarian troll.

Yanny is Quagmire’s voice.

Satan? Nah, I’m pretty sure the voice saying “yanny” is Quagmire.

Yes. I get the whole peppercorns, the pre-ground stuff is pointless. Guess I should have specified, but still the large size container is pretty cost effective compared to the grocery store, especially when you’re refilling the grinder/mill every couple weeks.

You want a raise? Ok, well, it looks like Takeshi will be in a different sleeve this season. Seems like a studio beancounter’s dream.

Cloverfield sucked. Altered Carbon was enjoyable. With the built in ability to swap out lead actors/actresses between seasons to save money or deal with scheduling conflicts you’d think a studio would be interested in continuing it for a few seasons.

I have the giant Costco roll sitting on top of the fridge. It’s in a handy and accessible spot, and a roll can last for literally years.

I buy Costco size salt, pepper, paprika, and cinnamon because I know we’ll use it in 6 months to a year. Cumin, oregano, or anything else that size would probably just go to waste though.

This, but the opposite
