Rope a dope dope can we put the PC complaining to bed. I’m rewatching all of Nu-who on Netflix and... Jenny and Madam Vastra, Jack Harkness (the first bi character who just happened to be, it wasn’t the whole point of him of any TV I’ve seen), monologues about sexism, racism, inter species marriage, nationalism,…
The planet restoring in space thing was very vague, it looked like the Uk restored the life on them as well as putting them back where they belonged but did they? Or did Tim shaw (assuming earth like populations) kill 30 odd billion people? It was weird there was no weight to this, the Doctor barely blinked, I get…
I absolutely hate this. Why? Because on Christmas day all my family are in one place and watching TV. On New year’s day. Nope, all over the place. Christmas you stay in. New Year you go out. I look forward to watching it on iPlayer then reading about how Doctor Who has terrible ratings for some mysterious…
I love the background Utopias in the Culture novels, both the paradise the culture AIs dip in and out of and the ability for advanced cultures to ‘sublime’ and basically rapture themselves into another dimension. I thought the focus on finding meaning in a post scarcity society super interesting!
Wouldn't the ship name be Venom?
The Doctor always lies.
Hester is a much much more interesting character than... Boy? The main boy, umm. David? Matt? Nah can’t remember his name. It would be great if the film is all about her. Which the first story really is, it just happens to be from the boys perspective mostly. Also Shrike! Hester and Shrike! Can't wait.
But it’s not 3 minutes. It’s at least an 8 hour shift maybe 6 nights a week. Imagine how difficult it is to be friendly for the entire time however stressed, whatever is going on in your life, often to total assholes who have no manners.
You missed out but it’s not too late! The novels are wonderful, if you’re at all interested in Arthurian legends and obscure British folklore you should have a blast!
Warhammer already is absolutely aimed at kids. Space elf toy soldiers with floating tanks. 9 year old me thought I’d died and gone to heaven. All of the fluff made sense and wasn’t half as gruesome as I would have liked. Children are weirdo monsters.
I was sort of aware the star wars existed but it wasn’t until the Special Editions were being released and Star Wars Tazos came out that I became obsessed. I collected them all, with a lot of tactical swops in the playground and used to pour over the book , trying to work out what the story was, what each character…
Its amazing how much mental gymastics is required and effort expended proving that an unfamiliar type of storytelling doesn’t have any intrinsic worth.
pretty sure this discussion has been going on for ten years - it’s very boring
Have you never played StarCraft?
I love how much time, effort and money they’ve spent bringing this to life, it’s going to look amazing which I hope will brutally highlight how weak and lazy the decision to cast johannsen
Taiwan is a democracy - it may not be the smart thing, or the most popular thing with the Chinese but it is probably the right thing to do.
This is very sad news. Whenever you might candle in the dark, there will still be some darkness left unfortunately.
Hi - the game doesn’t put your life in danger - neither do you - the police put your life in danger because they might shoot you. It’s not your fault, its not the games fault. It is the police and the society you live in. I hope that you carry on playing!
