We were on the other end of Wyoming south of Lusk. We made a last minute decision to skip Nebraska altogether, drive clear across South Dakota, and ended up at this tiny ghost town that still had 9 people living in it. It was worth it.

She does! And she’s actually not mine, she belongs to a lovely couple from Denver we met in a Wyoming ghost town.

This dog also went outside. She tried to mediate a fight between a hawk and a squirrel, but she saw totality!

I know the sky is going to be the most exciting part, but I’m extremely excited just to see human reactions at totality. Every anecdote by someone who has seen it has described it almost spiritually.

If I had the time to waste and a huge cushion of money, I’d be listed on my taxes as “Daytime talk show audience member.”

Oh, that’s where my bracelet went!

I’m also super anxious one about the roads, I think my boyfriend thinks I’m exaggerating a bit. But a gas can to fill up at a cheap rural station, sunscreen, water, and road snacks are on my shopping list.

I recall my elementary school doing the same thing. I think it has more to do with the fact that with so many kids, it’ll be very hard to monitor all of them playing outside and making sure they aren’t just staring at the sun. I was in one of the older classes, so we still got to go out in small class groups with our

I’ve been excited about it for months, and when I brought up how excited I was, the person I had just started dating at the time told me he’s been excited about it for years. We have a whole nerdy romantic weekend planned.

Here’s a collection of chasers talking about what it’s like. It’s bigger than all of us.

I sweetened the deal by buying my work team eclipse glasses (actually, they were cheaper in bulk). They’re celebrating by holding a potluck.

Yes, and I already declared to my boyfriend that I will be watching it at the hotel if we aren’t on the road Sunday night. But if we are (still not clear how early to leave to avoid congestion), there’s a good chance the cell signals will be all jammed. And really, that’s no way to watch a fight scene.

Not gonna lie, as an HBO subscriber who is traveling this weekend to see the eclipse, I’m extremely conflicted on this one.

I hope this is loosely based on Ali’s standup and includes some backstory to how she hooked up with two homeless dudes by accident.

I think we can all agree he’s bad at it, but this isn’t about performing wokeness. It’s about addressing it and not pretending it doesn’t exist because his audience may want some escapism. There’s a fine line between distracting and willfuly ignoring things. His shows aren’t evergreen, they’re just as topical as the

This is something expected of late night hosts and has been for a long time. Letterman’s show after 9/11 was really sensitive and impactful for a country that really needed them to help cope. They’re on TV and in people’s homes every night making jokes about the news, they sign contracts that last decades. Frankly it

I’d love to see a follow-up on this about what to do about lopsided weddings. I’m estranged from family and only have a small handful of friends by choice, but most people I’ve dated have big families that they’re very close to, who would probably kill them for eloping. Ideally the wedding would be skipped altogether

We opted to get a room outside of the path and will be hitting the road as early as possible. A super helpful kinja friend gave me this Google map for traffic patterns for the day!

The picture of the girls at the bar across the street with their drinks, and stealing the last woman’s mother and auntie for their group as well! This story has everything.

Mt. Fuji.was such a charming woman, she was really the glue.
