I have never understood why people keep hammering on about Nintendo’s “inferior hardware”. I don’t know ONE SINGLE PS4 game that looks as good as Mario Kart or Splatoon on the Wii U. How a game looks is not just about polygons and hi-res textures. It’s also about design decisions and being able to generate a distinct

One thing I never got about the Wii U: On the Wii the main interface showed all your Mii’s, and the Mii’s of your friends. On the Wii U I only see two Mii’s. (one for every account).

“Limited time only” seems one of the most successful marketing strategies ever, at least in Japan.

I think the big N themselves are really scrambling RIGHT NOW to put the Switch on the market in the best possible way. Why don’t we know some things? Because N hasn’t decided themselves, and might scrap features at the very last minute. They want to avoid a “But we were promised....” debacle.

I feel a photoshop contest coming up!

Isn’t ‘transfarring’ just a bad translation of a very cool Japanese word ??? (can someone look this up please ?)

But.... your hands are the same, why would the left stick be positioned differently? I have to say I DID like the gamecube controller, because you could ‘feel’ what button you were pressing.

Not only that, but it also makes the franchise toys instantly recognisable.

How is the level of Japanese in this game? Would it be useful if you’re learning Japanese? (providing you can read hiragana/katakana?)

Hopefully they also add a mac port :) It looks very cool. The color pallette seems inspired by No Man’s Sky?

There’s also a PS4 version, I wonder if it’s any good? It looks cool!

If you count “Fans expire in yet another Nintendo Draught” as being in the news, then yes, Nintendo is constantly in the news.

Whut... the 2D versions are ranked the LOWEST.... What is this!

Oh, the possibilities!

Especially since you can buy a Nes Classic and have all the games forever!

I noticed that too! The ‘traditional’ Mario levels looked way too oversaturated and lacking the fine attention to detail that Mario games normally have.

They certainly try to convey a LOT of new concepts at the same time, making me feel kind of lost. The Joy-con seem like smaller wii-motes. The wiimotes were fun for a short while but they also proved that people really like their traditional controllers for longer stretches of gaming.

The Japanese language really adds to the game. Even if the english dubs aren’t bad I’d still prefer a Japanese language option.

Looks really great. Let’s hope they add a button to mute that super-distracting soundtrack! It drives me insane.

Visual / interface design is overlooked in almost all games from big publishers. The worst offender by far is Metal Gear V. Lord knows I’m trying to manage my soldiers and bases but it’s just not doable.
