What’s hilarious (for nerds anyway) is that the flag error at the Canadian GP was, essentially, an off-by-one error (a.k.a. OB1 error). OB1 errors often occur due to boundary confusion, which itself stems from a failure to understand the numbering system used in expressing the boundary.

“1)How many people are buying their kid $15k-20k first cars?”

The sad reality is, according to the CDC, automobile accidents are still the leading cause of death among 16- to 19-year-olds.

I was raised that the best first car for a teen is the one they pay for themself, even if it’s through an interest-free loan from the “bank of mom and dad.”

So what’s the buyer demographic for this? Into spirited driving, but also have a family to haul around, but can only have one vehicle, but able to afford the upkeep on a used Porsche...talk about a niche.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

I mean, it was a great concept at the time—1200+ different beers—but they never had what I wanted available, the food was meh, and the service was hit or miss.

My 2004 Sable (brown SW) has 254K miles. Didn’t hit a wall, but hit a deer headon at 70mph.

I have a little over 199,000 on an 06 Tucson and I’m driving it for as long as I can. The last twelve months have been expensive because it needed a lot of work due to neglect caused by financial difficulties and it came out to about 3500. Still cheaper than if I were to get into a new or CPO car though. I still need

My wife has a ‘12 Juke with 230k on it. I drive a ‘10 Camaro with 184k.

My MIL has 290k on her 05 Taurus and it still kicks. I had to replace the entire power steering system last year (rack, pump, HP lines, etc) to the tune of ~$350, but it’s probably good for another 290k now. Drive it til it’s on fire!

20k? Less than that.

Which is why I will drive my 2005 Outback till the doors fall off. Just wait for the tariffs to kick in.

Government created the problem in the first place by catering to powerful rent seekers, which distorted the market. It (we the voters) is responsible for changing it.

This is terrible for this man and other people like him, but the problem isn’t with Uber, it’s that a medallion is $700k. This artificial economy has always been problematic. There are also issues with ride sharing, but the answer lies somewhere in the middle, not protecting this outdated system.

I love Riccardo but that result is more an indictment against fucking Monaco than a testament to his driving skills. They finished as they started.

These rims aren’t really my thing to begin with, but I think they look truly awful on that Porsche 356.

The better solution would be some more pedestrian overpasses. It’s a five mile stretch of road with a wide sidewalk along the water on the other side, and there are only two stoplights for the entire stretch...right in the middle, 1/4 mile from each other. There is no “good” place to cross, and even if the speed limit

“Previous attempts at having the road’s 40 mph speed limit lowered have failed.

Or you could be someone who has kept driving the same 2003 F-150 all this time. The fuel cost now would be $18.13/100 miles (if the engine has been kept up to peak efficiency) or $4.33 more than the 2018. So $433 more per year based on 10k miles, but think of all the money you’d have saved not making a car payment all
