The Europa always looks much bigger in photos.  You need to see one in person or at least with a reference frame to understand how small it is.  My guess is that one side of a modern Camaro has more sheet metal than an entire Europa.  The color isn't my taste but I guarantee it doesn't look like a wall of beige in

We won't see it here because the MB brand image for this market wouldn't allow it.  MB needs to be the brand of 'you made it in life' so that people can continue to sign up for E-class leases thinking that an entry level MB projects success.

Because they spent $29k to restore the car. They didn’t pony up to restore the manual.

Why do cars need infotainment?

It’s a German car on American streets, pretty sure it has a hood and trunklid (or more accurately I guess a hatch).

What kind of sentence is this?

Of course, being able to pay cash doesn’t mean you can’t take interest free financing.  The point being if you lose your job you can still afford the car because you had the savings to start with.  Parker couldn't truly afford the Blazer just because he could theoretically make the payments with future income.

Capitalism IS amoral. And that’s fine. People operating within a free system can make their own choices. Those choices can be bad, unless you enjoy a paternalistic role of the state. Life isn’t fair and I don’t see anywhere that I described lenders as ‘good’ (remember, capitalism is amoral so good and bad aren’t

There are legal protections. This guy should have filed for bankruptcy protection as soon as the car was gone and CAC filed for a judgment instead of charging off the loan. Had he done that 20 years ago, he would have over a decade now with the bankruptcy filing off the books and he could have been done with all of

Oh please, spare me more stories about the big bad banks. The guy apparently had $4k to put down, he could have had a nice used car for cash. Hell, in 2018 for $4k he could have a pretty decent car, now this story takes place in 1991. A 1988 Blazer was not simply an overpriced beater, he just wanted something better

Well, he did stress that everyone should be bringing their pets, so the limited food wouldn't be an issue.

I’m not sure how you got that from what I wrote. I never suggested that 911 buyers would have bought an SUV or vice versa.

I’m not completely disagreeing because it certainly has appeared
successful so far but two things to bring up.

SUVs from performance brands are everything bad about consumer culture. As long as it costs the right amount and has the right badge on it, people hardly care about the product anyway. Although I suppose the same can be said for the 7-series/S-class compared to their Korean competition.

I have a feeling that 'I forgot' is a euphemism for 'I spent more than I had and couldn't foot the bill.'

Headline - “The coolest car...is this van”

Yup, as fun as complicated heist plans are to devise, they attract attention and require a quick getaway. The real way to do this is to look like you aren’t doing anything unusual. By the time it is noticed as missing, the eyewitnesses will never remember what you look like and you will have had plenty of time to

If it is possible for deadpan comedy to exist in text, this is it.

I expected to see some interesting driving from the Mustang, kinda boring and the officers basically didn’t get him completely boxed in.
