Yeah about that set piece comment...

It feels changed enough that the half assed is warranted.

Creation Engine is different enough from Gamebryo and people are still too stupid to accept that so your argument is already invalid.

Fallout 76 does have a story, doesn’t really have many NPCs (i mean technically enemies and robots do count as NPCs btw, plus i got a story quest from a Miss Nanny bot. Just you have to read and listen to tapes.

I don’t normally like Heather’s articles, I think there are many people who have done a lot better job of writing in a number of articles, and I’ve even gotten straight up in an argument with her. The review was very simple. This game caused a lot of thought. And it’s confusing. I don’t need a detailed breakdown of

It wasn’t meant to be a main title fallout game. Why do you think they jumped to 76? 76 is a reference to the year, this is a side game.

I have had maybe a handful of bugs compared to previous games. It plays fine. It’s exactly what I expected when they announced it.

I mean this sounds like human behavior to me.

like 2 looked ok.

I......

meanwhile 10 years ago i was overwhelmed with school and flunked half my classes because all of my classes were AP classes with various numbers of extracuricular activity. I don’t fundamentally understand what was asked of me.

You’re seriously going to complain about... textures.

The characters are comparatively stiffer. This is something that can be objectively tested. Now, subjectively, it would be based on what i would prefer. The subjective part is that i prefer a less stiff melee style. The objective part is that they are, functionally, more stiff in play style.

I’d also type more but currently playing Bloodborne. Which is fun melee combat vs fucking Survive. Also, I enjoyed the gameplay of MGSV but didn’t care much for the story, though I didn’t mind Keifer, he actually was great in the tapes where he was allowed to do the Big Boss one liners he was deserved.

Nah, the .63 is fine. Stiff as fuck in MGS:S. I’ll take a buggy mess I feel like i can control over a stiff... bland.... blah.

I played it. I compared it to other “survival” games. It was not fun. Objectively. I tried to enjoy it. It felt stiff, obtuse, and menu saturated for no reason. I didn’t like the gameplay mechanics, I didn’t care for the melee combat which I would say was objectively worse than .62 DayZ’s.

Nope, but I’ve also played actual disasters. For example, i love DayZ but the beta right now is worse than the Alpha. FFXIV 1.0 was a disaster. Metal Gear Survive is a disaster.

I kind of expected it, tbh. Not sure why anyone expected there would be NPC’s, particularly at launch. The enemy AI is fairly servicable (compared to DayZ’s current idiot zombies that... lol. Just lol).

You mean like how battlefield has always literally been. It’s always been goofy. It’s been more grounded than COD but it’s always been grounded with it’s goofy charm. That’s why we got mods like Project Reality which then later led to games like Squad. If you want grounded in reality, go play one of those.

That’s why i prefer games without waymarkers, or turning them off. I spent a solid 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do in Fallout 76. Kinda wish more games didn’t have waymarkers. It’s like the RPG equivalent of Dark Souls.
