I wear gym shorts over my leggings. Gym shorts alone give me chub rub, but leggings alone make me self conscious in public.

Sugar Sugar is on the Now & Then soundtrack which was a movie for tweens, so you are totally spot on. It was one of the first CDs I ever bought.

I do the same thing! I get so mad also that I can’t just ask siri to play my downloaded music. I have very little data so I always download songs to my phone, but Siri is always trying to stream it! Half the time the music app won’t even work and I have to login to my phone and press a bunch of buttons, I usually just

I think long, flat butts were in in the 90s.

Yes. I’m in Japan now and heading back to the US later this year. I didn’t realize until I came here how much mental energy I used checking for exits or planning out how I’d escape when (not if) someone came into the public building where I worked and started shooting. It’s amazing to just not worry about it.

I was thinking WTF through all of Mother!, but in a good way. What a bonkers movie. I’m glad I finally sat down and watched it.

It feels...well, pretty prop-like

It seemed like it was written by someone who has never been to a rural American town. Such a lazy movie that brings up police brutality against black people as a weird joke that is then never addressed.

I remember straight leg jeans being more similar to mom jeans. The ankles weren’t quite as tapered as skinny jeans now and they always seemed to be slightly above the ankle. They definitely weren’t any more flattering than flared or boot cut jeans...on awkwardly built, too tall middle school me.

Poor people shouldn’t have access to even the smallest, simplest joys like an occasional glass bottle coke?

This will not be helpful for the large portion of poor people who live in food desserts and cannot easily access these chain stores. Also, not great news for any small local shops selling food in these neighborhoods. Commercial businesses making a profit from “partnering” with tax subsidized social services is pretty

When I was a librarian the children’s staff always had great recommendations for daycares. Some we visited were pretty scary.

It’s hard when the sole identity society places on women is wife and mother. Every aspect of our life and personality is condensed into how well we present ourselves in those roles.

So many of these questions I would likely just toss to my doctor during a routine visit, especially on questions like what vitamins to buy. I don’t know enough to fully separate science from pseudoscience, I’m just going to find out what brand my kid’s pediatrician recommends.

I 100% believe it’s true. That’s what these weird evangelicals believe.

I prefer the Roku because it has more options for free channels playing weird old movies and it plays well with other content providers like Youtube. I use a fire stick in Japan because the my American roku doesn’t work as well here-Netflix is OK, other services are a no go. The stick is so slow, freezes constantly

By the standards of a man who has played and studied jazz since the 1940s as well as played with and produced the best musicians in the world.

They like to hitch rides. It was a constant problem when I worked in libraries.

This was my favorite film of the year and one of my favorite movie going experiences. I was moved to tears and the visuals were just stunning.

Agree. I was RIVETED.
