Allow me to share the hazing I witnessed and experienced in marching band...

She needs a fresh beef and I’ll devote at least one lunch break to reading about it on Jezebel.

Ooh, that would be at least 2 full days of work lost to watching Twitter and reading think pieces.

I think it’s a symbiotic relationship that seems to work for all of them. I can’t help but give a little side eye to a song that is supposed to diss Kanye when the last time I saw him in the news he was having a mental breakdown. But a lot of her image is built on overcoming controversy, so here we going again.

yeah, this is how I saw it as well.

Thank you for sharing your story. We absolutely need to share our stories to ensure women who go through this don’t feel alone or ashamed and can seek help when they need it.

That’s such a bummer. My Girl Scout leader was a huge outdoorswoman so we learned about backpacking, survival, went caving, and on lots and lots of hikes. We also did crafts and she also brought in a nurse to give us the sex talk when we were still elementary students. I was in scouts through elementary and middle

This 100% happens in college.

I wish more women would talk about this, because I’m going through similar anxieties. Nearly all of my friends have a kid or are currently pregnant, but they’re all so far away I don’t get to talk to them about their fears and anxieties. One friend had a miscarriage prior to having her kid then went through

Oof that is a lot. I would like to have a kid, but I have to say it’s pregnancy that scares me. I don’t want to be pregnant, but I also want to have a baby made from myself and my husband. Men are lucky they don’t have to worry about what childbirth will do to their body, not talking about aesthetically but

EXACTLY.

Exactly. Not to mention the women who barely get time off to heal or bond with the child who literally depends on them for food. Women (and by extension, their families) have limited choices in this situation. Most of my ambitious, educated, hard working female friends have left the work force after having a child

Exactly. If a family can’t afford childcare that costs more than one of them make in a year then we should send those babies to the woods to be raised by wolves, instead of tossing some of our spare change in taxes to expand public schooling so people can stay in the workforce (which increases our tax base or

Except that Jefferson tried to write ending of the slave trade into the Declaration of Independence, but it was removed because of disupute from slave holders. Slavery was always indefensible. The idea that owning humans as chattel is morally wrong was not something people were clued into thanks to the civil war.

And the only reason Louisville finally removed that statue was because the university and remodelled art museum needed to put in a turn lane.

From my southern education on the Civil War, I just remember extra attention paid to the carpet baggers and how terrible the north was to the south during Reconstruction. To the point that slavery had little to do with the war and the North seemed to be the real enemy.

This isn’t art, it’s capitalism.

I don’t even get this defense because that show is garbage.

Seriously? I have seen her mentioned in every article about yesterday.

I’d love to hear about results from this. I’m a former youth services librarian and have seen so many tech programs start without follow through. So many in my profession think young people just figure out technology without help, but my students lacked even the most basic computer skills. Some of our students also
