That’s just for one person and there are rules about when and if you can add someone to your insurance. If you leave or lose your job you have to pay about $500+ a month to maintain coverage until you get new insurance or just go without.

When I had insurance through my employer I was paying about $150 a month, pretax from my paycheck. The coverage was OK.

Not to mention how many hospitals and doctors push women into having c-sections to speed up the delivery process.

We also have doctor shortages and long wait times in America. If I needed to see my doctor, I usually had to wait at least a month for an appointment.
