Man, southerners already get these questions anytime we leave the state or country. 😭

Fortunately, in America it’s free now! But now I live in Japan and as far as birth control goes I’ve gone back in time. I brought a years supply over from America.

That’s just for one person and there are rules about when and if you can add someone to your insurance. If you leave or lose your job you have to pay about $500+ a month to maintain coverage until you get new insurance or just go without.

When I had insurance through my employer I was paying about $150 a month, pretax from my paycheck. The coverage was OK.

Not to mention how many hospitals and doctors push women into having c-sections to speed up the delivery process.

We also have doctor shortages and long wait times in America. If I needed to see my doctor, I usually had to wait at least a month for an appointment. If I needed immediate attention, then I had to go to an immediate care clinic and pay $150 to be seen for, like, a UTI or strep throat. $150 was the copay with my…
