Windows is most definitely not open source, Apple are actually closer to be honest.

Unless Apple has changed things, which is entirely possible, you could use your IMac as a monitor, I’m not in any way claiming the article is well written or, to be honest, correct but it technically could be.

The thing is even if she did know, other GMG blogs have said that apple monitors while expensive were some of the best in their class, so it doesn’t, to be honest, seem that surprising.

You may be wrong, however it seems that if you click a link on the secured version of the site (without a https everywhere add on) it just redirects you to the standard version. At least it does for me.

Define quality, The NHS is often said to be better than many of it’s European counterparts and our system is considered better to the US System by far more people. Also BUPA (our main private Healthcare system) is Not for profit and all profit after tax is reimbursed in the business. Which, at least to me, seems like

The UK is the same, although we’ve only had it since the middle of 1948.

No, they are smart enough to realise that Britain knows what side of the road to drive on.

I presume it’s cheaper to buy those and and usb extension cables, It also probably causes less stress to the cable so when you replace it you just have to replace the extension not the whole cable.

One problem, the Surface actually had a use instead of lets stick a little more power in and add a stylus like Apples and Samsungs attempts.

Apple certainly did not invent Glossy Black IE Piano Black, Samsung almost certainly had at least one product that was glossy black before the Jet Black Iphone.

Has anyone found the identity of the attacker(s). It isn’t mentioned on the BBC site at the moment so possibly isn’t even a Muslim that committed the crime. Either way you need to not claim all Muslims are responsible even slightly just like you don’t hold any other religion responsible for terror attacks.

We’re banning a different smaller set of countries to everyone Stateside.

I know but that means you are using an Anti-virus. Therefore you haven’t ditched using anti-virus, you decided the built in one was good enough.

Point taken, I stand Corrected.

I suppose, I think in general I imagine people who read Gizmodo to be at least fairly competent with tech and to know many of the telltale signs of a virus/phishing and therefore may be okay with just built in defense,.

Depends, If you only use Facebook, twitter and YouTube and don’t use chrome/safari will be safe, Their phone won’t be hugely useful but those three aren’t going to have malware in them.

Don’t think so, I personally just use Windows 10s built in one but many people claim Avast and AVG are the best AV software. With Malware-bytes being good for a one off scan.

Why do you need it on a Smartphone, provided it has a fairly up to date version of the OS, don’t you just need to not download apps with names like (PokemonGOCheats).

I think what people are complaining about is the lack of completely disabling auto-updates even if you’re using Windows 10 Pro without messing around in the registry. I agree with you in general but I think there should be a switch similar to the allow installation of non-google play APKS on android that needs you to

Windows itself includes a AV and has since Windows 8.
