Unlikely they’ll probably just partner with a well established storage manufacturer (Sandisk, Samsung or Toshiba probably) add some markup and claim it’s a unique thing. It isn’t perfect but is better than sonys obsession with propriety formats.

It may be a shit joke but race needs a good joke to not come off as either incredibly racist or just not funny. This seems to fall into the racist category rather than the not funny one.

Words have always scared us. I know this is a little extreme but that is one of the main reasons terrorism can work outside of a very small community.

I completely agree with you it isn’t like stand ups aren’t able to make jokes about religion (including Judaism) or race. Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle and Ricky Gervais are just some examples. However their job is to make jokes and they aren’t performing to such an impressionable target audience.

I agree with you in general but if they take a hard line against him neo nazi sites may use it against Google. I’m not necessarily saying it will dramatically affect Google but they aren’t invincible and I think they know that. They’ll do whatever is safest for them or what their shareholders want. 

This shouldn’t be normal though. As many other commentators have stated normalising racism is one of the first steps to being able to commit an atrocity against a race. I am not suggesting, in the slightest, that Pewdiepie is racist but he should know that the worlds political climate isn’t very stable at the moment…

This is off topic but does anyone at Lifehacker / Gizmodo know if/when the UK is getting Youtube red?

I don’t know other than I’m from the UK but the early access program is now apparently full. Although something that allows you to download videos is unlikely to be released by Google in any country which has Youtube Red once it has been beta tested.

There was very little the US could take out on the USSR to be honest. MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) removed any real chance of war so all that was left were proxy wars. The US also probably had to attempt to prove to the world that the US was a better ally and that allying with the soviets would remove all help…

Not really, It would have to be efficient yes but most car companies smallest petrol car can manage that at least in the UK, I don’t know for the states.

They will change the price though, it gives them an excuse as the majority of cars will have the tax so car companies will just stick it into the price as extra profits. Also someone may not want an American car, they might want a cheaper Japanese designed car maybe or a more fuel efficient European designed car…
