I don’t think you mean 128 bit colour, we currently have no working 64bit colour at least for consumer markets and the common colour bit depths used are 24 bit and 16 bit.

Because everyone has referred to 2160p as 4k and some readers wouldn’t off-hand know that 2160 is 4k but everyone knows 1080p is full hd.

One thing, As Sean Burdick said it isn’t really an optimized version for tablets they just took the phone version and stretching it to fit on a tablet instead.

Could be but if they were to make instagram for ipads they more than likely would keep all the images etc the same size and just scale up the vectors similar to android for tablets where you use the resolution the device reports it can do and then the app scales its UI elements for the display.

Ah, sorry. I forgot in the US you don’t all use GSM. To me a locked phone can be unlokced easily by the carrier and then used on any other provider in the whole country/continent.
