I have amazing phone voice, dislike hearing it myself but apparently guys love it on the phone; in person it’s fine. At several jobs I’ve had men keep me on the line, call back, and give my work phone number so their friends could call me.

Went to a women’s college and every girl had her own landline in the dorm, 2-3 per a room. Phone numbers weren’t sequential but several of the perverts calling would dial them in order; someone had access to the master list. Guys would call using the school prefix as chances were high you would reach a co-ed.
