If you buy cars based on “gimmicks” and an exhaust button would change the way you perceive a car and how you rate it, you should be reviewing cell phone OS updates.

This article implies that not much has changed for the ‘16 model, when in fact virtually everything has, including an all new, aluminum intensive structure, a 28% increase in structural rigidty, a significant drop in weight, and so on.

I really like this car and if I were spending money for a car in this class, I think this is what I’d buy over a 5, E, A6. As for the sound of the exhaust, I’m surprised its not even an option but maybe Jaguar think people buying this car want a mellow purr and are saving the roar for the SVR version.

Holding the DSC button long enough does turn off all traction aids on all Jags.

I’d consider buying it purely because it isn’t a 5-series. That said, are these things more reliable than their Range Rover stablemates? If not, I wouldn’t consider it.

They really wanted to get “elegant” and “exciting” into the same car, which is hard because “elegant” is inherently kind of low-profile, perhaps even“unexciting?”
