Yes. My BFF was at the River Jordan (which was a stream at that place and time of year) and there were armed military on each side so you could not straddle or hop over and go ‘look I’m in Israel! Now I’m in Jordan!’ as people like to do at borders.

Yep. I’m sure Jesus and Mohammed are up there like ‘What the fuck. Did you say that? I didn’t say that.’
Didn’t Jesus say ‘love thy neighbour’? I think that covers it.
Unfortunately, it might be difficult for people in some middle eastern countries to go into Israel. I know of someone who held dual citizenship and was in archeology. One passport was used for Israel and the other for other middle eastern countries.
Stay with your friends. Stay alert. Keep a Fox 40 whistle handy.
Yes. Toronto has so many Pride events but it’s going to be so busy. Over 1 million people go to/participate in the parade, and I think the number will be bigger this year. I might just stick to music tents and spoken word and such.
I might head out to the Trans March here because I’ve never been and I think it’s more important than ever to support trans/non-binary people.
It is scary. And there have been a bunch of homophobic/transphobic attacks on people in the wake of the Pulse shootings that have turned up in my facebook newsfeed.
I know! I think the hottest I’ve ever been in my life was when I went to Disney World one summer when I was a kid. I am a complete weather wuss. I desperately want to move to Vancouver Island and enjoy the beautiful moderate climate.
Thank you! Canada, land of the humid summers and hellish winters.
OMG STAY INSIDE. I can’t imagine California in the summer. I would just live in a swimming pool.
That’s amazing! Bananas would be great.
Oh I can? I flagged it so the admin team could bannity ban ban.
Oh yeah. I’m in Toronto and it’s so busy. And you pretty much have to bring your own gallons of water to stay hydrated. Last time I went to the parade, I was standing in front of a water vendor. The price rose $1 every hour.
Yeah, I flagged that as hate speech. I just have no words for that shit.
Thanks. I normally skip most/all pride events because I’m claustrophobic and I overheat easily. But I’m going to try to go out to at least one of the marches/parades.
It’s pretty new; maybe a year old? It was implemented after all those graphic gifs were being posted on here.
Y’all, the trolls are already here. Don’t engage, just flag.
Everything. All the politicians and social leaders keep saying we will fight hate with love, but sometimes it’s fucking hard.
Fucking hell.
