Fun fact: Christopher St. John is the father of The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John, who coincidentally passed away two years ago today at just 52 years of age.

I saw Southland Tales at the mall cineplex. It was one of those movies, like Idiocracy, that the studio did its damndest to make as difficult as possible for anyone to see (i.e., only showing at one or two cinemas in the entire county, and even then, only at odd times during the weekday when most people are working,

I saw that and then it cut right to commercial.

The precious little pup in the Christmas Morning filmed piece is Chloe Fineman’s Shiba Inu pup, Peach.

(personally I think Leslie Jones would have brought an energy to it that would have transcended not getting the mannerisms)

Kenan’s on hand as host Grant Choad to do his thing making something out of very little. (His host responds to Mindy’s racist Broadway flop solo number with a perfectly pitched, “No! That is not okay—not even for the time we are supposed to be in.”)

He’s already been a successful stand-up comedian, a Not Ready for Prime Time Player on SNL, had a Netflix special, starred in movies, and dated beautiful pop stars, actresses, and models — all before age 30. And he bought his mother a house.

I don’t know that Chalamet and Davidson were ‘palling around’ so much as, of all the cast, Davidson is simply closest in age to Chalamet, so it would make sense that they would be in more sketches together. You know, just like when all of the black players get to be in sketches when there’s a black host?

As I write this I am awaiting with great anticipation delivery of a Hawaiian pizza. I love the contrast of the pineapple sweetness with the savory sauce and cheese.

It would be interesting if he were Wade’s high school or college rival and Wade’s daughters take a liking to him.

Wasn’t the premise of The Unicorn that Wade is a “unicorn” because he’s a perfect single man with a proven track record of commitment and parenting that women find elusive? So if he gets involved in a serious relationship, then isn’t he no longer a “unicorn” and The Unicorn becomes yet another in a long line of suburba

Uh uh. The best line of the night was Dave Chappelle saying, “Now, wait a cotton-pickin’ minute, Uncle Ben,” in Dennis Haysbert’s voice. That might be the best line of any show all year.

Yeah, but if Trump does some petty, childish shit before he leaves office...and you know he will.

I am really going to miss Alex Moffat’s Eric Trump.

Al Jourgensen should have been one of the artists to induct NIN. There’d be no NIN if Ministry, and a whole host of other industrial acts, hadn’t come first. When Jourgensen opted to take Ministry into less commercial territory, Reznor picked up Jourgensen’s pop sensibilities and ran with them.
And if we’re being

Martin Gore is a gifted writer and gifted composer.

I found myself noticing that this week was extra heavy on the NYC stuff

Jim Carrey is a legit hilarious comic, but I hope they retire both his and Maya’s impressions after the election.

I didn’t see it as a “presumptive “everybody is fascinated by the quirks of New York” focus,” so much as a love letter to New York as an appeal for it to not lose its shit this week depending on the election results. It felt to me like they might be a little worried about a repeat of the BLM demonstrations this
