The echo chamber in action. Don’t like what you are hearing? Feeling uncomfortable? Get up and leave. Boo down the person speaking. Anything to avoid sitting in the discomfort and possibly having to confront ideas/facts/beliefs that contradict your beliefs.

Just as an interesting note: I read this story here and on People.com. The response here seems to largely be, “He probably did something, and Angelina is acting to protect the kids.” On People: “That skinny bitch is making it all up to get a good divorce settlement.”

I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that this might be a language or cultural issue.
