OK, it’s my turn to be a bit pedantic. The image of Adric was used by the Xeriphan to keep Nyssa and Tegan out of their “inner sanctum” (along with an image of the Melkur from Keeper of Traken. I think they got the information from Nyssa when they “bubble-wrapped” her earlier in the episode.)

I remember Adrics tenure a little better than Turlough, so i was surprised in the other direction! Now, I was counting stories and not episodes, but I am fairly sure for Davidson almost all the episodes were 4 half hours per story, but maybe not.

That’s way more than I thought and way less than I thought, respectively! Thus I am served for not actually wikipediaing it.

Was Liz The Doctor’s assistant? She was originally being offered The Doctor’s job because The Brig didn’t know how to find him. While she was around I presume she got paid more than Jo Grant? Or that might be why she left.

(Psst—Nyssa was actually on the TARDIS first and longer than Tegan. Sorry to be pedantic, but my avatar sort of requires me to stick up for her.)

But those were characters who lend themselves to that arena. Spidey has never been and will never be R-rated. I just don’t see this working.

The stupidity of his voters is truly mindblowing. The Republicans control both chambers of Congress and the presidency, and they still couldn’t pass this garbage law. The Democrats— much as they’d like to take credit for it— had nothing to do with its failure. It was infighting within the Republican party and the

I read it as “we have a lot of things, a lot of Brexit, Devin Nunes had a press conference, 306, I got 306, Devin Nunes had a press conference, Devin Nunes had a press conference, I tweeted that, Devin Nunes had a press conference.”

Rick, guy, you need to do your fucking job. Or better yet, quit and let a grown-up take over.

This is insulting to children and babies.

Logic plays no part in anything Beale does.

I also love that it goes out of the way to say that it is absolutely not the thing that made him a best-selling author. “These other things made him a best-selling author. This book has none of those things! Buy it!”

As I told the psychotic Tea Party wing of my family, you’re going to get what you voted for good and hard. I hope watching your health insurance disappear was worth that one glorious day of saying “fuck you” to everyone with an NPR tote bag.

Probably. But they’ll do it in a clumsy way that will get discovered in a week. Because they’re idiots.

I did the survey, but they are just going to conveniently lose any responses that they do not like.

I hope this is the first of many starring roles for him, and he gets to branch out into other genres soon.

You can call him Al. If you be his bodyguard.

It doesn’t get much better than David Cronenberg’s The Fly, the 1986 remake of the scifi classic. That’s a film that works in so many ways, it’s silly to think anyone could do better.

It’s interesting though in that it would appear to confirm that Bill is from the present day, not the 1980s as I seem to remember some people speculating a while ago.

There are two sequels...
