I have not seen the movie either, so it will be interesting how they handle it.

I gotta admit, it takes balls to advertise a movie no one wants with a monotone guy announcing “Hey. Look. Here it is. I don’t care, you don’t care, let’s just get this over with and get back to our lives. Can I get my check now?”
Yeah, like if a tyrannical dictator imprisons a journalist for life, they’ve also stripped them of any agency, taken away their possibilities for living the life they want. It’s 100% terrible, and morally reprehensible, and we should all condemn it.
Mostly because “Kidnapping” doesn’t sound severe enough for the subject, and “Sexual Abuse” is one of those phrases that you want to be really sure about before you use, even if it’s the closest in accuracy and severity.
I wouldn’t say its Murder. I would say though that it was horribly selfish and unethical. He’s created a scenario where he’s made someone else suffer his fate and, as humans are social animals, essentially forced a relationship with someone without their consent.
It’s not murder though. He doesn’t cause her biological life functions to cease. It’s more kidnapping or slavery than murder.
Got ya covered:
It made a lot more sense once I read this:
In that respect, I suppose you could say that the overlarge head of the bulldog is selectively advantageous (because humans select for it, giving the advantage in the gene-passing department to specimens with overlarge heads)
I completely disagree-For me, the moment we question his authenticity is when the movie goes full on GREAT.
It’s Chewie.
“Rey, I am your father.”
Waist size has nothing to do with the ability to give birth to babies - hip size is supposed to.
Right, I was mostly just trying to suggest someone who met OP’s Baker-like requirements.
Scientific theories don’t become facts. This is a common misconception about the scientific process. Even the best supported theories in science are still theories. I suspect the difficulty comes from the difference between the colloquial use of the word “theory” and the scientific use.
The part I hate the most about being a Who fan is the constant obsession with who the next Doctor will be. It was less than a week after the big live Capaldi announcement when there were already rumors “oh, he’s only signed on for one year, here are the folks lining up to replace him.”
To be pedantic for a moment, it’s a good hypothesis. The lack of evidence makes it not a theory by definition.
Eva Green.
