I always think of him as the guy from the Carol Burnett Show, which is really easy since he has not changed one molecule since then.

Not if they're facing an army of other Inhumans.
Maybe because Skye and Raina had no idea what they were doing. In Inhuman society, the process might be carried out with more precautions.
Or… was he on the show today (offscreen)?
Could he be "Backup"
He would have believed her, he would have believed that there was nothing wrong, he'd have believed that there was no reason to tell his mom, but he would have still told her, because he tells her everything.
The wall can never serve its purpose in this world. All it takes is for one of the good citizens to slip in the bathtub, step on some loose carpet, or just plain suffer an unexpected stroke, for a killing, kid-eating machine to be running around inside the wall.
1. Because they were going to take him and the rest of the personnel with them.
Although I don't know if it was bravado or an actually brilliant and successful plan to not have any of those things done to him. Don't use fire because that won't work!
I think his plan was to murder the girl and her dad as soon as they got him out.
Wow! Taking the obsolete vaccine back in time is absolute genius!

Hopefully, next it year it will be Gotham?
And this is really all I wanted from this show!
I did not originally tune in hoping to get a The Wire-killer. This level of storytelling, world-building, crazy surprises, mystery handling, and characterization is really all I ever hoped to get from my apocalyptic plague shows.
They had done it once before, during the West 7 invasion.
What…? you want us to watch a show that actually makes sense?
Shame on you!
I can imagine Sanada-san chasing the writers through the woods, "so you give him an actual plot?"
