Oddly enough their facebook post uses the wording “2.2 kg per centre”(emphasis mine) which makes it sound like they’re not including the rim - the barrel of the wheel - in that figure. It is not “dead dirt”. It is a viable and very fragile ecosystem. Driving on it breaks the surface, compacts the ground underneath, and exposes the lower layers to the elements. It takes decades for that damage to heal.

If buying cars was strictly a financial decision, this site wouldn’t exist. The used car fetish here and other enthusiast sites has always been inexplicable to me, especially when (contrary to this article), there are lots of attainable new options out there.

He took the same calculus and diff eq as any other engineer...not that this is particularly complex math. What does his experience have to do with basic geometry and vectors?

Corvette has always been one of the most overrated cars on the road. I could care less what they do with their brand.
