To make sure we’re clear:

A lot of these people will only dig in deeper as more of this comes out because despite the sophistication of what the Russians did, the average person does not and cannot admit to being wrong or fooled.

Born in Inglewood, raised in Torrance/Gardena, currently in Alhambra (which is basically China). And yeah, I do find the tendency of NorCal folks to freak the fuck out if someone abbreviates their city’s name to be inexplicable and bizarre, but I’m willing to humor them if it means a shift in their freeway

This, so much this. Thats why I stopped watching Tavarish videos on the youtubes.

I used to have an all-trac, when i’d go to celica meets, i’d always trade drives with these guys since everyone wanted to try the all-trac. They were super fun. Everyone hates them because of how they look, but damnit the 2zz is a REALLY fun engine. And they’re light as hell and can handle.

People who don’t like these

I was the same way, in my beginner group so it doesn’t really count since it was full of people that were unable or unwilling to push their cars, but I have a 2.5 Mazda3s with a manual trans. Which embarrassed a lot of V8 Mustang/Camaros, a few Porsches, etc. when they had to give me the point by. Which the 911

I stand by the fact that these were kind of underpowered, but yeah, I still thought they were awesome. They were cool cars when I was in high school. What I’d really want is a 2ZZ in the MR2 Spyder.

It’s not fair to compare an Elise’s transient response to... well, anything haha. Class of its own.

I dunno man, the way you can pick up speed on corner exit even though the rear end is sliding is pretty freaking incredible. It doesn’t feel like anything else out there. Cars are getting so good these days, it’s nice to have some imperfection built in there somewhere. It’d be a shame to lose that and have yet another

While doing penance in summer school 1969 I was constrained by the rule that only let you miss TWO days of summer session. Having already lost one with feeling crappy, I was up against losing two to attend the 1969 Watkins Glen Can-Am/six hour FIA race. I needed to pass the classes but, hey the GLEN!!! Solution? Use

That’s a good parody of a blindly partisan right winger who claims conspiracy with no evidence whatsoever.

So you’re saying the Toyota Prius kills more pedestrians than the Ford Mustang on a yearly basis? Who knew?

I’m totally with you. I can love my car and also realize it’s not the most perfectly clean environmentally friendly transport. And I get how noise can hurt people, slowly and in ways hard to quantify on a day to day basis. I used to live on a semi-busy suburban main street growing up. At night it was usually silent,

Naturally, this will be met with a lot of resistance on a car blog like this, but I would hope there are some Jalops who can step back and not just rush to defend something they like without actually considering whether it’s harmful. It doesn’t take away from my love of cars to know that they pollute the environment,

I can’t tell which one I like best. It’s like every time I watch it, I’m not hearing the words, I’m just entranced by the images as a grin gets affixed to my face.

P.S. Stock pads on M cars fade like crazy on track. Haven’t driven a stock M car that didn’t fade yet. 3 hot laps and you have no brakes. Maybe the newer ones are better.

People driving hard enough to have experienced fade don’t mind a little squeal.

A TSB may have been issued not because of faulty equipment, but because the brand doesn’t want petty complaints to rise up for what is actually true - performance brakes do make more noise. I don’t know how hard you brake, but it’s possible that lesser “normal” brakes offer the same performance as the performance

Used cars ARE cheaper than new cars. I wonder why companies even bother making new ones.

Should the kids get off your lawn too?
