I suppose this is one of the issues with serial network television. Too many episodes. They have to fill up the time slot somehow. So they fabricate stories where they don't exist. Sometimes it sticks and like this last episode and probably next week's, sometimes it doesn't. Here's some of my thoughts.

This was a brilliant episode. Sure it wasn't as detailed as some may have wanted (they only have an hour). But Lenny's decision to go to Africa along with the walk through the airplane when everyone was sleeping was fantastic. Probably best episode of the series so far.

brntsmth wrote "this wasn't the best finale but I was never really expecting it to be.",

Esmail M. Night Shyamalan'ed himself once he was approved for write a second season. Glad I skipped the finale.

Elliot is a robot with his dad's brain waves in him.

You must be related to him. I'm joking of course. Sometimes simplicity works too. Fargo is a very simplistic show but the acting and writing is so well done that as a viewer you can overlook the familiarity.

My take, Elliot is a freaking robot. I mean the show is called Mr. Robot. He looks like he's a robot with his buggy eyes. And the Alexa pitch down my throat was a dead giveaway. It would make perfect sense too since he's trying to survive in this world. Perhaps in the next episode Christian Slater will walk up

Except I honestly believe it's because Esmail doesn't have a clue himself. Or he's unsure which story to choose. He probably reads viewer mail over and over again to figure out where his non-sequitur plot is moving.

It was complete overkill. I'm unsure why they feel the need to "trick" up this show. It was fine when it was merely well-written.

Who cares at this point. If it's Easter eggs I wanted I'd watch a watchmojo video.

Is this the first TV show you've watched? Terrifying? Really?

I think Esmail forgot what show he's writing and directing for. This show is off the track at this point. He's just throwing film concepts at the wall and seeing if they stick.

Tonight's episode brought to you by Alexa. So freakin' stupid. This show has turned into Lost. I'm out!

They should rename this show "Exposition". Also, I was continually worried that the USB flash drives were pulled before it said it was "safe to do so". Yikes!

Can someone please explain to me what was the whole point with the cat? Killer or not? I can't conclude. It would help to know if it had been declawed.

Why is Elliot allowed to talk to us but not Darlene? I thought this was one of the better episodes given that my hour wasn't wasted with a bunch of Rami's dopey facial expressions. The flashbacks are killing me too. I was like, "wait. They already know each other. Why are they acting like strangers?"

I'm out. Most stupid reveal ever. What's real and what's not. It's all up to S. Esmail.

That's funny. My thought when she said that was "is that with a capital 'J'?"

I agree with you. I think Mr. Esmail is getting a little big in the head. He seems to be writing for his peers than for the audience. I can imagine him drinking his Pellegrino with his buddies gloating over his 80's sitcom awesomeness. It felt completely out of place. Including the 80's Bud Light commercial.

Who is this Gibson guy? I didn't think he ever existed.
