Ok, but the story about the woman is still different. Text messages proved she knew he was suicidal and did not get him help and instead encouraged it even after having that knowledge. If I remember correctly it was large part of why she was convicted.

I would say no. Urging an already mentally unstable/suicidal person to kill themselves is clearly not comparable to this. One involves a person battling a serious mental health issue and the other is simply an ego problem.

Disagree, people need to be responsible for their own actions. Peer pressure isn’t a suitable cause/blame. These aren’t 5 year olds.

The flip side to that is potential bad publicity. I think most people don’t understand how dealers work. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve heard “I was treated poorly at the XYZ dealer and will never consider driving an XYZ again.” And then sometimes go buy another brand at a dealer owned by the same group.

Yes housing varies by location but my comment still stands because the studies have compared Nationwide averages, not specific markets.

That’s all fine and dandy advice, but there is no denying that the cost of housing and education have far outpaced inflation and wages in the last 30-40 years.

And more than enough for a Mazda3 or CX-30.

I think I’m the only person on the planet that thinks the 04-05 blob eye was the best looking of those three options. I’ll go put on my flame suit now.

This facelift always angered me. Particularly how much the hood slopes down now.

I always found the inflation argument a little skewed. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics doesn’t account for home prices (which outpace inflation) in the inflation calculation and it by far everyone’s biggest expense.

This is the number one problem. Back in 2003 it was awesome. Back then it had more power than a V8 Mustang and was arguably a better overall car. Today the Z has barely more power than the Ecoboost Mustang...which starts about $5k less and I would say is now a better overall value, especially when you consider

I think it says more about the UAW as a good chunk of those cars are assembled in the US without the UAW.

I understand it’s run but the dealers so that is a factor. But I mean last year Ford had a GT500 to show off there but the new Mazda3 and Subaru Legacy were not. Found it odd that such a high profile performance car Ford could show off in Milwaukee but two very consumer friendly sedan reveals were not.

I’ve been to the Milwaukee auto show and my biggest complaint is they often don’t have new cars that have already been debuted at earlier larger shows.

All Foresters and Crosstreks come from Japan. That’s a decent chunk, maybe even half of Subaru sales here.

Add into the fact that non-US Focuses and Fiestas equipped with DPS6 had wet clutches and you really start scratching your head. Wouldn’t it have been cheaper to have 1 automatic trans worldwide?

I think the improvement of gas engines and transmissions is definitely a factor. I rented a standard Camry for a road trip and got over 40 mpg. I know that’s mostly highway and hybrids really excel at city driving, but couldn’t help but wonder if the hybrid version was actually worth the additional cost.

I also live in PA and have no idea what the registration says for my Focus ST. Gonna have to check later. You’ve made me curious.

Gotta save that for the electric F-150.

This always drove me crazy because hybrids like the Prius are exactly the cars you want stuck in traffic since they often shut off the gas engine in stop and go traffic.
