It still wouldn´t make sense.

I really liked the opening sequence, but I agree the ending was somewhat lacking. If If I had written that scene, I would have ended it with Bond flying the chopper back to the hotel and picking up the girl he left. He did say "I´ll be right back" or something.

Spectre has problems, especially in the last act; but man… theres some great sequences in it.

Well, its not actually dread from unknown since the film explicitly shows the ghosts almost from the first frame.
