YMMV. My 5yo saw it twice and loved it. It depends on the child and the parents.

I took my 8yo and 5yo. Twice. They both loved it, but they are also used to watching PG-13 superhero films. It works for them if it works for you.

It’s legitimate to point out the similarities, which are plenty ... but those dudes didn’t come up with them, they read them on iO9 or reddit or somewhere.

Man here! Telling everyone to see this. First saw it with the kids, but mom couldn’t come. Went back with all four of us 2nd time around.

Million, billion, trillion, Silmarillion

If you stop breathing when you fall asleep (sleep apnea) your blood depletes in oxygen, which puts stress on your organs, and in your heart in particular. This causes long-term heart stress, which can contribute to a later heart attack. In the final episode, the stress on the heart due to low oxygen causes the heart

While I agree, I do teach my kids that lack of blood doesn’t mean nonviolent. WW kills a lot of soldiers in this film, it’s quite violent (the tower sniper comes to mind). They put it into context. Interestingly, the war violence is much more frightening to my son than the superhero violence, so WW was much more scary

I take my 8 and 5 year old kids to these movies. Started about a year ago. WW was fine, GOTG2 was fine. Civil War? Fine. Didn’t take them to Deadpool though. I think the important thing is to talk to the kids about what they watched afterwards - answer any questions, ask them how the movie made them feel etc. You’ll

Interesting idea, but most shows go in hoping for a 7-year run with a more or less consistent cast. From what I have read, the British show had a lot of cast turnover, and audiences wouldn’t make it through the second season that you proposed here. (I haven’t watched it).

IDK if anyone else has said this, but it’s probably the episode count. British shows as usually less than 10 episodes per season (this show is no exception) and Freeform wants a full American season out of this show, meaning 18-24 episodes.

What I’m hearing is that they should have cast you in the role!

In case it’s not clear, I think it’s fine to use Harley, or Supes and Bats in kids stories.

She was originally created for a children’s cartoon, so no, her origin wasn’t always as violent as you say. Manipulated yes, but not raped or tortured.

Am I the only person who isn’t in love with Jack Kirby’s weird space creations? Between the Inhumans and the New Gods these characters were always too off-world for me to get invested in.

I am most disturbed that this restaurant prints prices out to three decimals points on their receipts in case they ever need to charge fractions of a penny.

How do you get long exposure photography in a moving reference frame? Since the aircraft is moving, wouldn’t all the ground features and clouds appears as streaks as the objects move relative to the camera over the course of the exposure? To me long exposure means you have to be really still, this camera is moving at

Doubtful. They clearly have the rights to make toys based on their own characters forever.

Why did she leave in the first place? Was this a contract negotiation? I don’t actually know why they killed her character, replaced her, and now would bring her back.

Thank you for saying this.

I think the “safe 99.9% of the time” argument is also misguided. For example, Nuclear weapons have not been used very much (only twice), haven’t killed many people (traditional weapons have killed many more) but we still treat them with a lot of fear and control. I guess you and I differ on the acceptable level of gun
