That’s actually a drawback on the Jeep’s behalf, since you’re wishing for death every moment you’re trapped in one.

There’s a special place in hell for every person involved in the conception of the Caliber.

You could but nobody would know what you’re talking about because Dodge only sold four.

Also now available at 1% of the price of the soon to be released supra.

I had the feeling reading the renegade braking article that is was perhaps overblown, but still curious as to why it was happening. I wouldn’t mind checking one out in general, but if I was going to go Jeep brand, it’d probably be a more traditional looking (and undoubtely less reliable, worse on fuel) Wrangler.

Flood Damage: Parts car. I wouldn’t pay 10,500 for a hooptie but you might be able to part the money out of it. Maybe.

I’ll leave it to someone less cautious

Manuals in my driveway.

There was at least one more in about a 20 mile radius, but working 6 days week and with with kids at home, I didn’t have the desire to waste more time after the first two dealers.

Yeah, the manual is only available in lower tier models with the 2.0

It’s an in town commuter for my wife for the most part, no horsepower needed.

I live in Canada, the AWD is strictly not required - and locally, I’d guess that 70% or more of vehicles on the road here are not AWD.

Wheels aside, this thing is dangerously close to being a pep boys tuner special.

Not sure why so many people have a hardon for AWD. If you’re really dying for it, get a subaru, that’s their niche, not Mazdas. Mazda isn’t going to configure an awd to pair with the manual, manuals are just not good sellers in NA.

Interesting because the sportwagon was my cross-shop against the cx5. My wife didn’t like the way the Tiguan drove and I wanted to give VW a fair shake. VW (both dealers I went to) were terrible - one put me in an automatic despite explicitly indicating I wasn’t interested in an auto, and the other offered the keys to

Leased one for my wife, 2016.5 model with the manual. It’s a nice drive, gutless though.

It’s possible, but he’s probably an idiot for doing so. Even at a full 15/hour, he’s looking at 73 hours per month just for the car payments of 1100. Add in gas an insurance for two cars, probably at least another 400 bucks, that’s 26 hours more. Subtract off the minimum 10% income tax and he’s out another 10 hours’

I’m not the one who tried to humblebrag that 19mpg was good. I’m on an R6, it gets good mileage regardless of driving style. An LPE vehicle is made for one purpose and purchasing something like that, it’s sort of implied you don’t care about good mileage. Same should be said for Jeeps, which is why it makes no sense

.

I really wanted one a few years ago, but cross shopped against a Miata and holy crap. Compare the interior of an 88/89 Fiero to a ‘90 Miata. You’d think the 1-2 model years, the aliens came in and advanced automotive interior design 20 years. And I am the last guy to complain about interiors, but wow. I couldn’t

19MPG is only acceptable if your other DD is a Hummer H1 or a 747.

With winter looming, it is stressful time for those of us who have not stockpiled enough maple syrup and walnuts to survive the winter.
