Totally fair.  And seeing as I’m only going based on this one snippet (I haven’t ever watched the guy), the fact that he’s got a platform and has probably said a whole lot of other stuff definitely plays in.

the Wallace clip is incredible. same words now, just more contemporary mouths. pretty much says it all. the only upside is how history ended up viewing Wallace. Carlson et al will all end up the same way, so there’s hope at least.

At heart Carlson is a performer, not a journalist and not even a pundit and I doubt he believes himself any of the BS he spews.

But this is typical Carlson/Bill O’Reilly schtick: they never come out and definitively take a position on topics like this. They “ask questions,” the implications of which give a very clear message to their audience, while allowing them deniability. It’s disingenuous and cowardly.
