I really hope Nintendo figures out a pricing system that works for their games. They have to decide if the 2d sidescrolling platformers are actually worth as much as a AAA game when indie companies generally charge $20-30 for similar experiences. I like almost everything about the Switch, but $40 was already a tough

Just remember that Capcom made some very solid Zelda titles (Oracle series/Minish Cap), so a new studio doesn't spell death for Metroid.

Sony's Ps4 Pro is still $400, though, and it's less powerful. (Personally, I think both devices are silly at this point. Jason Screier did an informal survey of other video game journalists at e3, and even they didn't have 4k TV's yet.)

Do you have the same name on Kotaku? That's the only other site I comment on, but I have a different handle.

TIF?

Oh interesting, I didn't know Wolfenstein had branching storylines. I never got far because the camera made me queasy, but maybe I'll give it another shot. The New Colossus looks rad.

I'm interested in Xenoblade 2 despite not loving the original. To be fair, my brief experience was seemingly hindered by the lackluster visuals on the 3ds. Everything's just too blurry, even the text. I'll be willing to give it another shot on Switch, but I think I'll wait to see some reviews, first.

I prefer the exploration and controls in Sunshine, plus the gamecube controller is a joy compared to the stupid Wiimote and nunchuck. The nunchuck's joystick should feel like the one on the Gamecube's controller, and yet it feels a lot less precise to me. My other issue with Sunshine is that you're forced to revisit

In that case, go for horizon. It might also be nice to take a break from all that inventory management. Horizon is a big game, but it's a lot more straight forward.

*Flyers fans continue to self flagellate*

Are you looking for RPG's or any genre? I can heartily recommend Horizon, which is just oodles of fun. Also, you're going to hear this a lot, but you should really try Witcher 3 at some point.

I want it to be the soundtrack to every waking minute of my life.

Well, I think I'll rephrase that sentence now that I'm on a watch list somewhere.

Speaking of which, 3 employees were killed at a local grocery store by me in my area last week, and I didn't see it publicized anywhere except The Root. It's fucked up that gun violence is so common a public shooting no longer makes the news.

Games Thread: Post E3 edition

Maybe just say, "Joel Schumacher" in the title and assume your readership is smart enough (from context or otherwise) to realize he was the director?

Black Mirror: Cover Not Final

I am honestly not a huge action buff, but if we're just talking Schwarzenegger, I'll take Total Recall any day. Also Robocop, but I'm a sucker for Verhoeven.

I really like the art style they’ve gone with on this one, and it’s great to see the visuals are finally shining on a handheld system.

I’m fairly certain they will be changing a lot of elements between Kratos, the combat, a potentially open world(?), and the mythology. The whole game seems to be about that change, and the trailer seemed to clearly state that this game will be story driven.
