I'm pleased to hear of The Canon's return. I'll miss the dynamic of two cohosts, but I like Nicholson a lot and will gladly continue listening. Here's hoping she settles back into the groove and that the show can continue without baggage.

Even looking at the header picture, one character is yellow but two are predominantly pink and two more have pink accents.
It's even worse than that. One of their key points is, "Sure lots of characters aren't yellow, but try to think of some that don't use ANY yellow in their color scheme."
This video is really stupid. Yeah, complimentary colors and all that, but they never actually make a case for there being more yellow cartoon characters than any other color.
1) That caricature of Jon Stewart looks pretty anti-Semitic.
Holy fuck. How and why?!
The other day, I saw someone talking about some particularly shitty Mallard Fillmore comics, and I realized I never knew the strip was politically conservative. I haven't read the funny pages since grade school, and at the time I must have assumed it was satirizing conservative politics, because no one could really be…
That's fair! Speaking of which, I'm one of those people who considers Star Wars to be fantasy (or space fantasy, or whatever), but I'm not going to fight someone, ya know? I like categorizing stuff because I'm a nerd and, frankly, it's how my brain works, but I have so many better things to get mad about… like who…
It has to be due to site traffic. I think they mentioned on their podcast that they're the second biggest gaming site after IGN, and even if that's not the case, they have to be top 5. Although their staff is small, they have a huge readership, and that's just asking for some less desirable commenters.
To be fair, I'd categorize The Handmaid's Tale as speculative fiction, but not sci-fi. It takes place in the future, but it doesn't really make guesses about future technology. Yeah, it was a cashless society and they used computers, but credit cards and personal computers already existed in 1985.
One day Jason Schrier randomly ungrayed me (it was one of my first comments!), but that was the first and only site to do me the honor. I suppose it's fair because the only reason I'd comment on Gizmodo would be pointing out inaccuracies in their reviews…
Kotaku is generally decent and the writers are all progressive, diverse, and awesome, but this is really the only place I feel like I can engage with commenters. Polygon is decent, but it doesn't feel like a community.
It's literally the only place I know I can discuss video games without bickering or dick measuring.
Yeah Nazi's were shitty, but games based on real wars feel pretty ghoulish to me. I played Battlefield 1's campaign a little bit when it was released, and no lie, the intro made made me cry.
For whatever reason putting the McDonald's logo in the center makes it look particularly sinister. It's more like a barcode than a typical logo emblazoned on a shirt pocket.
Honestly, that doesn't sound as bad as an earlier brunch experience (plus, breakfast is my favorite meal so I'll happily eat it for lunch or dinner). At least with a 3-5PM brunch you're not kidding yourself, and you can conceivably keep drinking into the night if you choose. With earlier boozing it doesn't seem…
Are you saying naming a cow "Kobe Bryant" doesn't count??
I think context is important. One Bloody Mary for a special occasion breakfast doesn't seem too crazy - especially if you can hold your liquor, but some people apparently use brunch as an excuse to get blitzed before noon, and that seems like an unnecessary punishment.
The few times I had alcohol at an afternoon party, I regretted it. I can do one or two beers without negative consequences, but more than that and I'm put in an unfortunate position of either continuing to drink (bad) or coming down from a buzz and feeling groggy all day (also bad).
I don't understand the appeal of morning drinks like mimosas or bloody marys. Alcohol makes me sleepy, why would I want to drink that early?
