I think it's entirely dependent on where you live. Geese in upstate New York aren't used to hanging out around people, so they can be incredibly aggressive.

When I was in preschool I was feeding the duckies bread at a local pond, and an impatient goose decided to take the remaining loaf right out of my hands. To make matters worse, one of his associates became angered at the perceived slight and bit me, leaving behind a huge welt on my knee.

I guess I have to listen to this. I started the first episode, but it didn't hook me in like either season of Serial or great episodes of TAL.

The introduction of mods just reinforces why I like console gaming: simplicity. If I started gaming on PC, I’d spend more time tinkering with mods and optimizing settings than I would playing the game. Even with Fallout on Xbox, I don’t use mods because it’s too overwhelming. I’m sure it’s great for other people, but

This has to be a regional thing, right? I've never seen anyone eat pimento cheese outside of a party. It's not a thrifty food you keep in your fridge, it's something you put out with crackers to look "fancy".

Oh hey, my newfound Simpsons knowledge is finally allowing me to reference Simpsons jokes! Shame it's from a season 24 episode not even Simpsons fans will remember.

I would stand for the pledge but stopped saying it by high school. Teenage atheist edginess, I guess.

That and it's a sci-fi show set in the future. Why wouldn't I want to see more future events and technology? Sci-fi prequels make no sense to me at all. Give me a time jump any day!

Voyager is terrible, but there are enough fun terrible episodes that I can excuse it. What I've seen of Enterprise has just been boring.

Dikachu sues for copyright infringement.

Yeah, I am not too optimistic. I don't like prequels and I don't give a shit about Kirk era (or earlier) Trek, so I'd already need the show to be somewhat exceptional to hold my interest. It just seems like they're botching the show on every level.

I'm less worried about poor subscription rates than a shitty show that's unworthy of subscibing. If the show's decent, honestly, I'll pay to see it. It sucks to subscribe to a service for ONE show, but I'm doing that for The Handmaid's Tale too. I can justify the price if the show's good.

When I saw 20th Century Women and ended up sobbing over the credits. I saw it right around inauguration day so I suppose I was already pretty emotional, and then the ending just ruined me. It's not even a sad ending: we see that characters move on to lead separate (but happy) lives, and the protagonist's mom dies in

It's set in the present day, but there's still a kid who's obsessed with playing music on tapes and Joy Division, of course.

He actually says something like, "That's like asking Han Solo if he likes space. It's all he knows.", so it's not even accurate. He's been on multiple planets! I don't even like Star Wars and I know that.

Of all the reactions I've seen online, most were about her participation, not Pepsi.

I don't know if this counts as "normal rational people", but I've seen dozens of liberal think pieces about it.

On one hand, she's been sheltered her whole life, and I don't know if she even had a high school education. On the other hand, she'd an adult and has plenty of resources if she chooses to educate herself.

When I was in high school I got into Weezer, but never ventured further than Green Album (Blue Album and Pinkerton are their only two great albums).

Looks like they're making the show more humorous than the movie, which is fine by me. I'm a little surprised they're seemingly regurgitating the plot of the movie, but supposedly that's over after 2 or 3 episodes.
