i have read the books and the tv show has done a better job of fleshing out the Frank character. The book was written from Claire's POV, so if she wasn't there, it wasn't written about. Hence, how Frank dealt with her disappearance wasn't depicted. I always liked him as well, but rabid book fans turned him into a bad

I think the point of bringing G back was as a confirmation of her time traveling self, because we will see her again. She couldn't have met Claire though because she would have remembered her in the 1740s and she didn't . She figured out that Claire was also a time traveler, just as Claire figured out that G was.

Geillis was never THE reason Culloden happened. She played a part, but 10,000 wasn't enough to make it happen.

Rose Leslie is too old and perhaps with her strong Yorkshire accent couldn't have done an American accent.

Which actresses are you talking about?

How could Claire not know she had a daughter? When she went through the stones, she took her knowledge of the future with her. Plus, the daughter is clearly Jamie's given the red hair. So…

For me it was book 5 that stopped me in my tracks. I didn't go back to it until Book 8 was released and I'd started the entire series over again. I think 5 is a slog, but it gets better again after.

well, Claire would have known Geillis was her daughter, wouldn't she?
