This is not about a mistrial, as that’s really hard to “force” in terms of getting a judge angry enough to do something stupid. Judges are allowed to display plenty of emotion and anger towards anyone disrupting their courtroom.

I think this too. This judge sounds very careful, in terms of acting like a judge while not letting Trump get him riled up. If the judge is a quietly sane person behind the robe, I’m guessing his eye is on the bigger picture.

My suspicion is that they are afraid to do any slight thing to open up the excuse for a mistrial. Better to let him dig his own, deep grave. 

Can anyone explain to me how the eff this fails to result in a contempt of court charge??? I guarantee no other defendant would be permitted such leeway to misbehave. Throwing him out of the room still leaves him access to a platform. Throw his ass in a cell until he apologizes for being a puerile brat.…
