Why is it so hard to just admit this is shitty behavior, instead of trying to find ways to minimize it?

I caught up on a few recent Marvel movies and TV shows on some long haul flights last month. I generally got what was going on and enjoyed most of them, but there were definitely references to other events that I hadn’t watched yet and then made sense after the fact.

Getting into a triangulation with a client and their spouse is the absolute worst. You become the dumping site for all the psychic shit in their relationship. And it doesn’t matter how nice you are to the spouse: all the paranoia, pettiness, resentments and punishments between them gets offloaded onto you.
