Years ago, I was listening to Howard Eskin and a caller said the reason why the NFL was declining was because they were allowing women sideline reporters and journalists on TV. Eskin called him a moron and alluded to him being a pedophile. God bless Howard Eskin. I once watched him get into an all out fistfight

Honestly, I would love it if they just made a Edge of Tomorrow type movie where Uncle Ben dies over and over again, having to repeat the same day, slowing discovering more and more that Peter is Spiderman and he’s caught up in some big conspiracy. Or even more fun, play it out Spiderverse style and have all the Uncle

Marc Maron, Jimmy Pardo, Scott Aukerman. There’s tons of women and POC contributors to the medium, but here’s three white dudes that could easily be considered “pioneers” of podcasting who started a full ten years (at least) before Conan.

Jay-Z is a billionaire, with a B. He got that way by making deals that work out more in his favor than anyone else’s and sacrificing/compromising as little as he can to take care of others. He’s a businessman who has more in common with the 32 NFL owners than any of the other common people, so don’t think for a second

Oh yeah. Absolutely. And if you dont shit your pants, your poops will be greasy and burning all day until you drink it on a regular basis and your body gets used to it.

Here’s the benefit in a nutshell: it has a lot of fat in it so it keeps you full. If your body burns fat as a fuel source, it can get you through most of the day. That’s all. It’d be the same as putting heavy cream or coconut oil in your coffee, tea, or drinking it straight. Oh, and it will make you shit your pants.

With a show that has so many strong female characters, both on the side of good, evil, and indifferent, it’s crazy to me that Joseph was the best part of this show this season. Whitford earned himself an Emmy nod, if anything.

The writers behind acclaimed biopics Man On The Moon, The People Vs. Larry Flynt, and Ed Wood, handled the script, which hopefully means we’ll be getting something more nuanced than the paint-by-numbers biopics that sully the genre

First and foremost, I agree with every single stance Kap has taken. That being said, the guy settled with the NFL, and that couldn’t have been just an issue of making sure he has money to survive. He was already getting a steady paycheck from Nike, speaking appearances, etc.

What is stopping the athletes from forming their own independent gymnastics organization and going directly to the USOC as their own team, or even competing under the Independent Athlete flag?

I went through a period when “Andy and Jim: The Great Beyond” came out on Netflix, and I had to search my mind as to whether Man in the Moon was actually good. So, I watched it again, and well, it wasn’t. The movie strikes me more like a book report on Andy Kaufman, hitting the same notes that those two documentaries

I saw it last Thursday (the first night in theaters) in order to beat the inevitable rush of spoiler articles and discussions that would come out. Knowing Tarantino, I expected A) that Cliff and Rick would stop the Manson murders, B) Cliff/Rick would be seduced by the cult and take part in or even mastermind the

Excellent write up. I get excited to see another article by you come across the feed, while I wait and hope against hope that I may live to see another Block and Tackle series entry.

If you haven’t have the chance to watch all of Star Trek: The Next Generation, do it. It’s all on Netflix. I’m working my way through the series right now and it is absolutely fantastic. Happy to see all the films are coming to Hulu with the exception of Generations. Among the TNG movies, Generations and First Contact

I think so. The person in the mask was probably BTK as well. This is probably covering a few cases that were going on at the time, and there will probably be teases of BTK throughout the season. Considering he wasn’t caught until the early 2000s, they probably won’t do too much with it this season.

Just want to be sure here, you’re ok with a celebrity or other personality if they said comments years ago but have apologized or haven’t done anything wrong since? Seems kind of out of line with the other Cancel Culture sentiments that get thrown around here.

Right, ok. You’d think if Uma Thurman had such a problem with Quentin she wouldn’t be in talks with him to do a third Kill Bill or she would warn her daughter to not work with him in this very film?

I had a similar view. Moreover, I think Tarantino made this ending as a sort of “what if” to look at how the Manson murders ended the age of “innocence” in Hollywood and ushered in an age of cold realism and violence in the media and the minds of the media creators, Tarantino among them no doubt. Had these violent

They don’t even need existing footage. The whole series is animated I believe.

I’m very happy Pen-15 got an Emmy nod. That show is amazing. Over the years, I’ve found the Emmys have become less about what undeserving show wins a ton of awards and more about what lowkey shows get some kind of recognition by the academy.
