“have two fucking separate ability trees for PvE and Arenas”, but nope. /rant

Fallout sucks.

Yeah, because StarCraft II’s 5-year-coming conclusion is going to have a lot of sales trouble. Because nobody ever buys more than one game in a month. Because the consumer base of both games is identical and can only afford one or the other.

Here in the UK we only ever got the Australian version - I only learned that it was dubbed for the US recently, and I can’t imagine how that would work; the Australian-ness of the film is such an integral part of it.

I never understand people (no pun intended) that don’t understand accents. Even thick ones. Maybe it has to do with how you were raised? I was raised to be well cultured. Knew alot about world history, geography, hung around people with accents. Seen many at events we went to. Never had a problem understanding people.

I’m having this problem with Dragon Age Inquisition. Every now and again I think “Why haven’t I finished this game yet? I love the characters, and the story was getting interesting.” So I load it up, travel to a new area to continue the story, then make the mistake of hitting the “search area” button... The next hour

The thing that pissed me off about Red Dead Redemption is that I worked my whole life to get that Legend of the West outfit and by the time I got it, there was almost nothing left to do. That wasn’t a huge surprise, but for some reason, I assumed I could restart the game and still have my outfit. This seemed like such

Amen. Amen amen amen. I get exhausted just thinking about it!

Couldn’t agree more. You can call fluff collectathons optional until you’re blue in the face, but they almost always detract from the game by simply existing. You mentioned Red Dead Redemption, which is a huge offender to me. The writing implies a time-sensitive story and driven hero, yet has the option to do

On another note, is something wrong with Kinja? The font is huge and wasting a lot of my precious vertical resolution.

I kind of blame the advent of achievements for this phenomenon, specifically feeling that we’ve been trained to collect. I never felt that way in many games I played as a youngster and I think some old school games did collecting a lot better than a lot of modern games. For example, there are lore books all over the

I hear ya. I’ve ruined so many game experiences for myself trying (and often succeeding) to 100% a game. I’ve actually stopped playing most open world games because of this. Not because I don’t like them, but because I simultaneously don’t enjoy but can’t help trying to get all the things.

I must say, collecting stuff in Mad Max is fun as all hell. I ‘m stopping at every single possible location and looking for everything. Mad Max has been a huge hit with me and I can’t put it down. Still bitter over the Kotaku “NO” verdict. Screw you guys. =)

dual meaning. law breaking...like guns, murder, what have you. and then breaking the laws of gravity, with the grappling hooks and jet packs. They won’t win any awards for the title but its fine i think.

Are you saying that “Call of Duty” or “Battlefield” is any better?
