Funny, I need my GTI to become a tricycle to get it to rotate well in autocross, so I came to comment on my approval of the driver’s rear wheel lifting, but good point on the body roll.

My first thought was that they should license the camera-under-badge setup from VW, I like it a lot on my GTI. Of course, people think my trunk is open when they see it popped out.

Based on one of the photos I could imagine it parked on the road, and at some point over the years being washed just off the road by a heavy rainstorm. It looks like it was next to a point where water could concentrate flow.

Good point, something to consider. Having driven a C5 coupe and then a C5Z, I found the Z much more responsive, and it just “felt right”. Would the FRC feel the same? Also, it seems like people feel that the FRC is worth more than comparable coupes, when originally they were cheaper, which is confusing.

Having been shopping for a C5 Z06, and being in the NC area, I have seen this ad, and would say that it is priced pretty well for what it is. Personally, the mods don’t work for my intended use as a street-class autocross vehicle, but if my budget was a bit higher and I wanted moar power, this would be a great…

This article is much like my internal review of my autocross performances: I know what I did wrong after the fact, it’s tough to maintain the habits between races, and even though others have good reason to be much faster than me, I won’t accept that.
