This is my biggest issue with overhaul mods that want the Melee feel. They get the spacies to their crazy position they had in Melee, then they try to get the rest of the Melee cast into their familiar techs while ignoring all the good changes that future games gave a character (Yoshi’s egg throw no longer giving lift

Whoa, whoa! You are being WAY too reasonable, here! This is a Smash article, so you need to get your complementary bag of salt and fling it everywhere!

It’s rare that I watch them, myself, but I like to watch high-profile gamers in the competitive games that I am currently playing so that I can learn new strategies and pick up meta knowledge from their commentary.

I’m pretty sure Smoke is full of oil, last I checked.

I’d spent countless hours in SoulCalibur III just working through different routes in the character stories and playing through the campaign in Chronicles of the Sword. Was really sad to find that SoulCalibur IV scrapped the story-telling aspect of the games.

I just want my cards to have all-caps Portuguese text on them so I can have an authentic US-East themed deck.

The point was that you wouldn’t need to manage additional devices located immediately next to you. This setup avoids the hassle of finding a place to put a controller reaching for a keyboard to type and then reaching back for the controller after typing. The story does a greeeat job of telling you how to input a crouching block, though.

Danger kind’a hovers around when stupidity is involved, so you should always be mindful.

Haven’t you heard? Large groups of people with different areas of expertise can only focus on literally a single task per month. All the cool kids complain about it, so you know it’s true.

Yes, the 1Up Mushroom is a much better investment.

RIP, fangame.

What’s a “phone”?

The most annoying thing about navigating the menus for me is the fact that L/R and ZL/ZR have the exact same function instead of having one switch menus while the other switches inventory tabs.

You left out the part where you can revive Judicator Argo and do the fight again as many times as you’d like via the Statue of Velka and/or Purging Monument.

But you can take it with you and walk around with the Switch version! That’s five minutes of walking you could already have been doing and rain that stopping the climbing!

I killed the lighting-quick boss that all my friends were complaining about with an inventory full of painstakingly-gathered Knight’s Claymores. There’s not really a reason to switch weapons around if the dodgiest foes can still be beaten down with slow gear.

I hate the system, but the game throws tons of weapons at me to make up for it, I guess. Aside from the lack of weapon maintenance features, what really bothers me is the lack of a weapon shop anywhere in the world, so I can’t stock up on the weapon I prefer playing with and have to manually search around for the
