I'm entering my 11th year doing programming and database work for a small non-profit(<5mil budget) and I am the tech department. And while there are days when my eyes glaze over and I just want to run away for the most part I enjoy every minute of the coding. Mainly because I know that any bad code is mine because I

You think that is bad?

The portion of this article after the second block quote was particularly good. And, despite the headline's assertion, there's no way your average Whole Foods shopper sets foot in Wal-Mart, either out of snobbery or conscience.

Still better than getting famous for being the woman who left her kids in the car in Arizona. She could have called to reschedule. Explain the situation. It happens. And if it's that much a of a dealbreaker, then you're clearly not dealing with a company that will respect your family anyways.

Even humans can pick up the scent of high blood sugar, but not low blood sugar (which is more of an immediate issue). And it might even be a mix of scents that they are detecting, since they can separate scents into individual components. Hiding contraband with something else smelly is like putting a banana next to an

Good thing it is illegal for the government to promote religion.

And no, parents really shouldn't be allowed to dictate what their children are taught in public school.

Public school does not exist for the benefit of parents. It doesn't even really exist for the benefit of the students - at the very least not alone.

As someone raised Catholic in the Bible Belt, at least two of those (and possibly all three) wouldn't even be considered "Christian" by most evangelicals.

It really depends on the school. Mine had twice the students it was originally designed for and as a result, not enough lockers to go around. Anyone who wasn't in grade 12 had to share a locker with at least one other person (and these lockers weren't the full-length ones, they were about 2.5' tall). That means

In my experience as an educator, even when a school has lockers students won't use them. They would rather carry everything. I tried for years to get backpacks out of my classroom, and my students all complained they didn't have time to go to their lockers. I went to a school three times the size of the last school I

Native NYer here. No lockers until high school and then we were forbidden to use them because we had 4800 students and like 30 lockers. They were in classrooms, not in hallways like I've seen in the movies. I think they just didn't want kids interrupting class to get stuff.

I found it interesting when he said white wasn't one of the colors that had come up yet. I think most sighted people performing a similar test wouldn't have considered white as a color for markers, as most of us likely have a built-in assumption they'd be used on white paper.
