It’s gotta be more frequent than that or I am one unlucky guy. My lvl 61 necro has run across him at least 6 times - both solo and with friends and typically we barely scratch him before we wipe out. We aren’t farming or grinding anything - just playing through side quests and the odd dungeon or cellar we stumble

Hasnt this always happened with TV? In non-digital times some niche show you may have liked got canceled because not enough others were interested. That show was gone - only the popular ones got syndicated to live on after their broadcast run. There was no way to buy them. It wasn’t common to put shows on DVD or VHS

Because they are counting on that even though they make it worse - it won’t be bad enough to leave - helped by the fact there isn’t an alternative platform in most of these cases. If there was some legit competition out there it would reduce just how much enshitification could be loaded onto users before they leave.

I would argue all companies - Sony too - have a history desire to be monopolistic. Its the nature of capitalism. The thing is does MS buying Act/blz create one? Does CoD not on a Playstation in the future create one? I’d argue no - Sony has plenty of its own system selling exclusives, also makes deals and tries to buy

I think you have it backwards - it was PS4 that is was recalled for. It worked passably on Xbox One. Really the game never should have touched the last gen consoles. I played on a Series X and it was fine - no buggier than any other big title at launch. Friends on PS5 report about the same.

All of this still seems to boil down to a double standard that is for Microsoft - Exclusives + bad, trying to drive Sony out of business. Exclusives for Sony - nothing to see here, move along.

I don’t understand why those who elected her haven’t started the recall process on her. None of the people that put her in office would have voted for her if she switched it up before the election. Its basically false advertising

Everything about OW2 has been Mid at best. Why would you think the next season pass would be any different.

I think to make an LOTR game successful you have to do something like Hogwarts Legacy did - and focus on the universe in a time space that avoids the major events in the books so there is freedom to storytell without bumping into the existing story pillars. Amazon tried to do this a bit with their show but it didn’t

Its more concerning to me that the big tech companies gather and sell this data than that the government is buying. Stop the data collection as a commodity for these firms to profit off of people. THe problem isn’t the government buying the info - its is that the info is for sale in the first place.

So what I am getting is that they made a bunch of business plans around this mystery $2B deal and put those plans in motion (including the spending) before that deal was final. The deal fell apart and now they are screwed and having to do massive restructuring to avoid bankruptcy. Is that about the sum of it??

poor management? probably some taking on debt to do stock buy backs? overly focused on shareholder growth?

the idea of least bugs in a Bethesda game at launch is a pretty low bar.

This caught my eye too - I was thinking the college/high schoolers now likely have grand parents from the Vietnam/Hippie generation. You know the ones that were pushing the equal rights amendment and breaking out of the 50s nostalgia/Leave it to Beaver view of what a successful woman was.  Their since of time is just

No way that kills business cards. two things - one it is apple to apple and in every work environment and client meeting I’m in the room is pretty much split 50-50 Apple to Android to no Apple only solution will be the future here.

I believe with streaming the company pays a fee to have the content available to stream and then there are residuals when it is streamed by someone. Cutting the shows saves the upfront fee as the low stream count isn’t adding value since people aren’t streaming it.

Since most of the stuff pulled is because people aren’t streaming it I don’t think this is a vault situation. Maybe a couple shows will have that happen but I think most are gone unless some other streaming company pays to add them to their library.

I could be wrong on this but my understanding is the residuals work differently in streaming. There is a base rights fee to have the content on the network plus whatever residuals when some actually streams it. On old TV I thought it was just residuals. So in streaming there is a large fee just to have the show in

A mediocre tycoon style game and a microtransaction mess pretending to be a basketball game?? You and I have very different definitions of great games.

It is crazy to me how the Trump minions never learn that no matter how much you disgrace yourself bowing to him he will eventually turn on them too.
