Huh. So, let’s see here...

Maybe I don’t get how university life works, since I haven’t lived on campus, but his experience only became hard when he outed himself as the rapist. Emma, for her part, never publicly accused him of the crime.

So they settled after it got thrown out of court?

Exactly how is what he said racist...? He talks about failed states and poor transitions, combined with a socio-economic issue based on large-family size and easily inferred from said family-size, need. Takes a lot of Euro to feed 7-8 kids, vs 1-2. It isn’t racist at all. Large-family size is a pretty common

Maybe I am naive, but to me this reads like him just talking about how profound the crises to be dealt with are. Saying they are civilizational means they threaten the civilization there to it’s core. Saying that there are 7 or 8 children per woman is to give a piece of information to explain why you cannot solve it

He was just so... MUCH. He had it all. He was funny and sexy and vulnerable and lovable and vain and fabulous all day long.

I loved Nelsan Ellis on True Blood. His portrayal of Lafayette kept me watching the show long after it had stopped being a fun guilty pleasure. I feel bad for his family and friends.

And the writing got bad really quickly—I think in the middle of season 2 I realized I was hate-watching the show rather than merely watching it. Lafayette was the only consistently solid part on the show, and it was because Ellis’s talent could take the worst line and deliver it with such flair it was sold.

He had “IT” in a huge way. What a shame.

How terribly sad, he was the heart and soul of that show.

Even from episode 1, he was - hands down - the best character on the entire show. And when he got to interact with Alfre Woodard, it was just golden.

There were seasons where he was the only likeable character. His talent shined through no matter how bad the writing got.

Wow, he was so young. I’ve never seen this show, but I just looked him up and one of the first news stories that came up from before today was an interview where Ellis criticized a former co-star for quitting because that actor didn’t want to play a gay character. That’s a stand up thing to do.

There were times where he was the only likable character on that show. How sad, he was so young.

I think you could make that argument when the show started, but they’ve become much more than supporting in recent years and I think that’s why this is an issue now and wasn’t when they started.

I hate this guy but let’s get real here: If you’re a Republican idiot who ran on their idiot ideas of less government all the time, THIS is what you do.

You know, I think I’d at least be able to...I don’t know, tolerate his Presidency if he actually gave a shit about what he’s doing. But he doesn’t. And that’s what scares me most about this: I don’t think he eliminated this office because of his clear disdain for women (which he has): I think he eliminated it simply

Kushner couldn’t helm this one too?

Stay tuned for the launch of the “Hot or Not Council.”
