You did, analog sticks were the arms and shoulder buttons were the legs. If you didn't do it right you could end up trying to run at an enemy and ending up with your mecha face down into the ground while a Kaiju stomped in the back of its skull.

In my opinion the best robot game has been, and probably will be for a long time, R.A.D. or Robot Alchemic Drive. Fighting Kaiju with giant robots via a teenager using a wrist mounted watch-like device. The controls were complicated and often frustrating, but that's absolutely what made it so amazing. Hardly a surprise. THQ's been saying for a long time, ever since it was first announced, that InSane was still in development without anything new coming out, and with their recent money woes it's not really hard to see that a game that's been in development for a long time and probably still would be to get canceled.
