@AndPreciousLittleofThat: I just find them overpriced. I need to find my receipt because I plan on returning my iPod Touch (thank you Costco!).

@escapefromny: I'm not into most popular music now, but stories of how Chris handled it after-the-fact has turned me off of him.

@rechoired: We never had the PB ban, but I went to school during the 80s/90s.

@CaptainUnderpants-FighterOfApathy: Is that what it's called? I thought it was pretty cool and we all played around with it when we were signing each other's yearbooks. I recall there were a number of comments concerning the paper on my yearbook (and probably everyone else's).

My senior year high school yearbook was the coolest. Someone on the yearbook committee had the brilliant idea of using heat-sensitive paper on the inside covers. Thus, when you touched your [hot] hand, the colors turned darker temporarily.

@RedHandedJill: Except the men, because they couldn't help themselves.

@SamIam24: Great! I'm finding that reading YA/children's books as an adult is such a different (but good) experience.

Judy Blume is on my long list of books my hypothetical kid/niece/nephew will read.

@SamIam24: I've been reading a lot of young adult novels recently. Some are stuff I missed as a youth, most are ones that are "new."

@PaintedTrollop: Maybe it's more like that "average" cost of a wedding ($20K? $30K?). Proms can be had for much, much less and much, much more.

@LucilleMcGillicuddy: Books were my savior in learning about sexuality. Judy Blume rocked at this.

@mrsjakeryan: I understand why there may not be a lot of people who shop at Costco that use food stamps. All the merchandise there are in bulk. There's a membership fee to shop there.

@suiterkin: I absolutely love this alternative! I never liked the "giving" part of it. I don't like the "obey" part too.

@Hortense: I find that #meetup is a bit more frequented. But there are unique posts in each tag.

@hewhoroams: I think it depends on the merchant. Home Depot GC are only slightly discounted.

People get "free" gift cards through various methods (most importantly through rewards credit cards). They'd rather have the cash rather than the GC.

Rachel Bilson has boobies on her dress. That is all.

@Ri_L: I moved into a poorer school district for two years and got into the gifted program that way.

@Kilotwat: So, true. My mom was the last one in our family to get naturalized. (We started out as permanent residents.) It's been helpful for me as a federal gov. contractor (who goes through routine background checks), but now they can't kick her out.

@sneakers: There was a "Family Guy" version? (I haven't watched in ages.)
