I agree but if you are not using the clutch at all, I bet the synchros of the transmission won’t last as long, even with a pretty good rev-matching.

Throw-out bearing are cheaper than synchros to replace.

I always double clutch/rev match on downshift in my car. People keeps asking me with I hit the clutch twice.

It’s a two stoke Detroit Diesel. Probably a Series 71. Those are awesome engines.

I think that the first gen looks absolutely gorgeous. Even a bit more that the second gen in my opinion.

Basically, it help for radiator air flow. It help reduce restriction behind the radiator. On most race car, the bottom of the car is flat so air can’t escape down so it as to go up. It might also create a slight down force, depending on the design.
